Food needs labelling

Food Labelling is an effective tool to protect consumer health in terms of food safety and nutrition. Food labels convey information about the product’s identity and contents, and on how to handle, prepare and consume it safely.

With the increase in global trade and a shift away from the traditional face-to-face food producer and buyer relationship, there is a greater need to create food labels that are clear and can be trusted

What is food labelling?

A food label, the information presented on food product, is one of the most important and direct means of communicating information to the consumer. This information includes items such as ingredients, quality and nutritional value.

For example, tomatoes, peppers, lemons, zucchini, packed in nets or portioned in plastic trays and sealed in foil are classic displays in retail and wholesale. The packed natural products are fully automatically labelled by systems including Hermes+ printers. Print and apply system Hermes + is specially designed for automated print and apply processes in production lines.

Various models are available: HERMES + 2 small label machines, HERMES + 4 compact machines for integration in production lines, which prints labels from 8 x 10 mm to 115 x 320 mm and powerful HERMES + 6 that print labels with sizes up to 174 x 320 mm.
